A Message From Our Founder
I started Assembly with the goal of supporting the maker and entrepreneurial community in the city. In our 2 years of operation we have collaborated with 20+ instructors for over 40 events to serve approx. 400 people and that is just through our workshop programming. We got to work with and meet so many other talented folks and patrons at our pop-ups and parties as well. It has been incredible to witness the passion of teachers sharing their craft, the curious students motivated to learn new things, the avid supporters of the locally made goods and the amazing connections made by so many within our walls.
It is so very hard to say goodbye to such a good thing but the time has come to close the doors to our Assembly studio. My heart is bursting with many emotions these days but most intensely with deep gratitude for all you beautiful people that have collaborated with us over the years.
In pursuit of a slower life, a more meaningful existence and a stronger model for our Assembly gatherings, I am going to take some time to reflect on, refine and reinvent our concept. The same underlying values will drive our work but we will be aiming to bring more depth to our experiences and introducing them in new spaces with new parameters.
Lets keep nurturing our creative community and deepening our connection through new experiences and experiments. From the depths of my soul I thank you for sharing your energy, your interest, your support and for being all so damn amazing and inspiring. It has been an honour to share and create with you all in that beautiful space.
